Motorcycle racing practically was practically handed down into Matthias Meggle's cradle. His father took part in speedway races and later opened a motorcycle shop.
When Matthias was 6 years old, he began to plow through the parents garden with a kid quad. A year later, there was a bike for children in the motorcycle business of his father. When his father told him that he could take it if he got the bike to run, the ambition was awakened in him. The course for his motorcycle-racing career was set. Soon he took part in his first race.
From Supermoto he moved into road racing in 2011. After two years in the ADAC Mini Bike Cup, where he secured the title in 2012, he moved to the ADAC Junior Cup in 2013. There he succeeded with the third overall position in 2014.
2015 IDM Moto3 - He came, saw and conquered
Early 2015 he was riding a Moto3 racing machine for the first time and shortly later he took his first victory in Schleiz in front of a huge home crowd! During the season he won another race and scored three second and two third places. This meant the runner-up title for the youngster, who lives very close to the Intact GP team's headquarters.
2016 with the new Junior Team in the ADAC Northern Europe Cup
With the newly established "Dynavolt Intact GP Junior Team" Matthias Meggle took part in the ADAC Northern Europe Cup's Moto3 standard class. In addition to his participation in the ADAC NEC, the yong talent with the starting number #21 also explored the Grand Prix tracks of the MotoGP World Championship when competing in the Red Bull Rookies Cup.
Red Bull Rookies Cup and Spanish Championship are his projects 2017
The fast-paced rider will continue his assault in the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup this season and plans some entries in the Spanish CEV Championship. In this way the 16-year-old will be led step by step to the World Championship level.
