Ready for the final show in Valencia
For both Marcel Schrötter and Jeremy Alcoba, the Gran Premio de la Comunitat Valenciana is not only the season finale of 2022, but also their last ride together with the LIQUI MOLY Intact GP team, so both want to really let it rip.
For Marcel Schrötter in particular, the weekend at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo is sure to be a rollercoaster of emotions, as the German brings his 12-year GP career to an end before taking on new challenges in the 2023 Supersport World Championship.
Schrötter is in eleventh place overall ahead of the final showdown that will decide the title - 10.5 points behind Somkiat Chantra. For the Bavarian, the top priority is to enjoy the remaining time to the fullest and in the process bring himself and his LIQUI MOLY Intact GP team, with whom he has close ties, a successful conclusion to their six years together.
The 4km Spanish circuit that will host the season finale consists of five right turns, eight left turns and an 876m straight and is one of Jeremy Alcoba's home GPs. The Moto2 rookie ends a successful debut season in Valencia, in which he attracted attention countless times with brilliant catch-up races. The young Spaniard's learning curve went steadily upwards, especially in the last third of the season. In the end, the Spaniard achieved three sixth places and is highly motivated to farewell the German racing team with a no less successful result.
