Tony Arbolino first came into contact with the world of motorcycling at the tender age of 4, after his father gave him a Minimoto, and from the start his natural talent for riding two wheels was unmistakable.
His lucky number is 4. When he entered his first championship, Tony decided that since the number 4 had already been given to another kid, he would simply double the number and enter with 44. Today he still carries the 4 in his current race number 14.

A young talent conquers the Italian and Spanish race tracks
In 2009 he competed as a rookie in the Italian Championship, where he won 15 out of 18 races straight away. He won the Italian title, the Manufacturers Cup and the regional title and secured 3rd place in the European Championship in Germany. In 2011 Tony switched categories and competed in the Mini GP50 Championship where he finished 3rd and the following year won the European Mini GP50 Championship in Spain.
In 2013, at the age of only 12, the Italian Federation granted Tony special permission to participate in the Pre GP 125 2T Championship, where he could race on the world circuits of Mugello, Imola, Misano and Vallelunga. On his debut in this new category Tony stunned everyone by winning the Italian Championship by one race! A year later he joined the team "SIC 58 SQUADRA CORSE". With the help of Paolo Simoncelli, he won the Pre Moto3 125 2T Italian Championship by standing on the podium after 9 races - 6 first places, 1 second place and 2 third places - and clinching the title with one race to go!
In 2015 he moved to the Spanish FIM CEV Repsol Moto3™ Junior World Championship and won his first race in the series the following year.

The step into the world championship
In 2017 the young racer rode his first season in the Moto3™ World Championship and in 2018 he has already scored some solid top ten results, securing his first two pole positions and leading his first battles at the front.
Tony Arbolino enjoyed a phenomenal season in 2019, taking seven podiums. This included two debut wins, one at Assen and one at his home race at Mugello.
So it was no surprise when Tony Arbolino emerged as a serious contender for the Moto3™ World Championship title in 2020! After unfortunately missing one of the only 15 races due to Corona quarantine regulations, it became increasingly difficult to take first place. In a thrilling finish in Portugal, however, the exceptional talent didn't miss a beat and eventually finished the season as runner-up.

Start of the Moto2 adventure with LIQUI MOLY Intact GP
In 2021, the rider with race number #14 will now move up to the Moto2™ class! He will tackle this adventure with the LIQUI MOLY Intact GP team. The Memmingen-based racing team is convinced of the Italian's great potential and is looking forward to working with the young talent.
