Arriving in perfect form to the San Marino GP

The Dynavolt Intact GP riders Tom Lüthi and Marcel Schrötter have used the small break in between Silverstone and now for some extra training to attack in full mode this week in Misano, when the 13th race of the season is taking place.

The 4.2 km long »Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli« is located in the South of Rimini at the Adriatic sea. The state of the area, where normally vacationers have their best time, will be exceptional this weekend, when the MotoGP-circus will be in town.

Tom Lüthi arrives with very good memories to the coastal town, as in 2017 he gained a superior win in the rain in Misano. Will he be able to secure a fifth podium of the season 2019 this week? The Swiss has the makings for it, but more importantly he needs to get back to the top. Meanwhile he is holding third position in the championship, but with the same amount of points as Augusto Fernandez. With 146 points the gap to the leader Alex Marquez now counts 35 points.

After his most difficult race-weekend of the season so far, three weeks ago in Silverstone, Marcel Schrötter wants to reflect on the riding-fun again and does not want to put himself under too much pressure anymore. The Riviera di Rimini might be the perfect place to do that. Furthermore the Misano World Circuit is the racetrack, where he celebrated the first podium of his Grand Prix career last year. This will give him extra motivation for sure. With his currently 116 points the Bavarian is holding the seventh position in the championship.

The FIM MotoE-World Cup will have its third round here. This means also Jesko Raffin comes back to the track on board of his MotoE-bike in Misano this weekend, where he will compete in two races for the first time. The 23-years-old currently holds the 11th position in the World Cup overall standings and is more than ready to repeat or better his 4th position on the grid, which he earned in Spielberg, to get the best possible starting position for the two short 7-laps-races.
