Busy Monday for Schrötter and Lüthi at the Spielberg test
No break for the Dynavolt Intact GP squad as the team took part in the official Moto2 test with Marcel Schrötter and Tom Lüthi the day after the Austrian Grand Prix at the Red Bull Ring.
After Tom Lüthi finished sixth on the Austrian track on Sunday, he was able to complete the test day, which took place in sunny conditions, with a positive feeling. The focus during the test was less on new components, but more on the settings of the Swiss' Kalex.
Even though his track time on Monday with a total of 45 laps was somewhat cut short due to technical problems, the second of the World Championship was happy with the progress achieved. Now he hopes to build on this in Silverstone, when the season will continue next week from 23 to 25 August.
Marcel Schrötter, who finished ninth in the Spielberg GP, was also happy to have a day of testing on Monday. Especially in yesterday's race his feeling for his bike was not the best. In addition, the 26-year-old had crashed three times on the Red Bull Ring during the weekend.
He therefore mainly tested different settings, but also Öhlins suspension elements and tried a new Dunlop front tyre. After 103 laps without any crash he could draw a positive conclusion.
