Despite unlucky circumstances strong second race by Raffin in Misano

An crash of another rider in front of Jesko Raffin during the first lap of the second MotoE-race refused him and the Dynavolt Intact GP Team the chance to achieve a first MotoE-podium finish. Strong performances and the places 4 and 7 of the Swiss at this weekend awarded him with moving up four positions in the championship.

It has been a good start into the seven laps long second race of the MotoE World Cup today at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli in Misano Adriatico. Jesko Raffin got away from his fourth starting position on the second row of the grid very well. Unfortunately his Cup-colleague Xavier Simeon crashed just in front of him in the second corner of the first lap on the ideal line of the Swiss and Raffin had to go wide to avoid him. As result he finished the first lap in tenth position.

With lap times around 1’44.1 it could have been a top three result today. He was able to overtake Bradley Smith in the last lap of the race and to secure himself the seventh place. Also in the championship Jesko Raffin currently occupies the seventh position. In only two MotoE-races he gained four positions in the championship. The Dynavolt Intact GP team is happy with the performance of the young Swiss as once again he showed that he is fast enough to be with the leading group.
