Podium, points, premiere: Intact GP on the charge at Phillip Island

After Motegi and Mandalika, the Motorcycle World Championship makes its next stop in Australia this weekend – specifically, at the iconic Phillip Island circuit. In Moto3, Brian Uriarte steps in for the injured David Muñoz, making his World Championship debut alongside Guido Pini. Meanwhile, in Moto2, Senna Agius will be out to repeat last year’s podium in front of his home crowd, and World Championship leader Manuel Gonzalez is determined to bounce back from his disqualification in Indonesia and increase his points advantage.

The third overseas event brings the Motorycle World Championship to Australia’s breathtaking Phillip Island circuit – venue for the 19th race of the season. The 4.45-kilometer, ultra-fast racetrack is well-known for strong winds, unpredictable weather, and goosebump moments overlooking the ocean. With a nine-hour time difference to Germany and changing the clocks back on Sunday night, European fans will have to set their alarms early to catch all the practice sessions, qualifying and races.

With David Muñoz sidelined, 17-year-old talent Brian Uriarte takes over the Intact GP KTM. For the reigning Red Bull Rookies Cup champion and current Junior GP rider, Phillip Island not only marks his World Championship debut but also the start of a new challenge at the highest level of racing. Guido Pini, buoyed by consistent results in Asia, is aiming to leap back into the points and confirm his strong form on the fast, windy coast of Australia.

In Moto2, Senna Agius is particularly excited about his home Grand Prix. The Australian celebrated his first World Championship podium here last year and hopes to repeat the feat in 2025. With the support of his home fans, he wants to build on the momentum from the last few races to finish in the top positions. Team-mate Manuel Gonzalez, still nine points clear in the championship, is eager to strike back with even more determination after his bitter disqualification in Indonesia. "Full attack" is the motto – right from the first practice session.

The LIQUI MOLY Dynavolt Intact GP Team heads to Australia full of fresh energy, ready to write another positive chapter on one of the world’s most beautiful and challenging racetracks of the 2025 season.
