With momentum to Assen: LIQUI MOLY Dynavolt Intact GP Team has ambitious goals in Moto3 & Moto2
After a short break, the LIQUI MOLY Dynavolt Intact GP Team is starting the tenth Grand Prix of the season with great anticipation, as the Dutch GP at the legendary TT Circuit Assen is on the agenda. The German team is battling with strong riders in the Moto3 and Moto2 classes and wants to continue the positive developments of recent races.
Spaniard David Muñoz and Italian Guido Pini form a promising duo in the Moto3 team. After successful performances in recent races, both are looking to impress in the Netherlands. David Muñoz, who celebrated his debut victory in Aragon, recently showed courageous performance in the leading group at the Mugello Grand Prix. The 19-year-old will take this momentum with him to Assen, where the 4.54 km track with its fast corners and close head-to-head battles demands the full skills of the riders. The cathedral-like grandstands create a unique atmosphere, which Guido Pini is also looking forward to. The young Italian is still striving for his first major coup in the Moto3 class. In Mugello, the rookie fought his way up from 20th place on the grid to second place at one point before a fateful collision meant the end to his race. But the 17-year-old has already put the disappointment behind him and is looking forward to the tenth World Championship round with many lessons learned and great ambition. The demanding track demands courage and precision – qualities that Pini embodies. The 20-lap Moto3 race starts on Sunday at 11:00 a.m. (CEST).
In the Moto2 class, Manuel Gonzalez has impressed with outstanding performances since the start of the season, crowning his successes to date with his fourth victory at the Italian Grand Prix in Mugello. The 22-year-old thus consolidated his lead in the title fight and aims to further extend his advantage at the race in the Netherlands, before heading to the Sachsenring for the German team's home Grand Prix at the halfway point of the season. His teammate Senna Agius recently caused a sensation at Silverstone where he celebrated his first Moto2 victory, impressively underlining his status as one of the class's up-and-coming talents. Despite a difficult week in Mugello, the Australian is confidently heading into the Assen weekend, which culminates with the race on Sunday at 12:15 p.m. Both riders aim to build on their previous successes and further advance the German team in the World Championship standings.
