Comeback, fighting spirit & title ambitions: Garzo and Baldassarri want to rock the Dutch TT
After a seven-week break, the Dynavolt Intact GP Team is back at full strength and full of vigour for the second MotoE round of the 2025 season in Assen: With Hector Garzo and the highly motivated Lorenzo Baldassarri, the team is determined to defend its title in the only all-electric world championship.
At the prestigious Dutch TT, Hector Garzo, reigning MotoE World Champion, will hopefully be celebrating his comeback. First, however, he has to pass the medical check on Thursday. After a crash in practice and an elbow injury at the season opener in Le Mans, the 27-year-old Spaniard was forced to take a break. After a successful recovery and intensive preparation, Garzo is once again ready to shake up the leading group and make up for lost ground in the world championship. Of course, defending the title remains the focus, but first the rider with the starting number 1 will do everything in his power to quickly adapt to his Ducati V21L in the first practice sessions in order to lay the foundations for a successful race day in qualifying on Friday afternoon. Last year, Garzo won the first race and finished third in the second - a goal he is also aiming for at this year's almost sold-out Grand Prix of the Netherlands.
Lorenzo Baldassarri, this year's new addition to the Dynavolt Intact GP Team, impressed with a strong MotoE debut at the season opener in France. At Le Mans, the 28-year-old Italian scored a total of 21 championship points in both races - sixth and fifth place are impressive proof of his adaptability and fighting spirit. On the legendary 4.54-kilometre Dutch racetrack, which is also known as the "Cathedral of Speed" by the Fans, "Balda" wants to be at the front again in the two races on Saturday at 12:15 and 16:10.
From this race weekend onwards, a new schedule will give the MotoE class a first free practice session on Friday morning followed be the only practice session that will count towards the qualifying in the later afternoon.
