Garzo & Baldassarri ready for electrifying MotoE season opener at Le Mans
Just a few weeks after the official MotoE test in Barcelona, the Dynavolt Intact GP Team will start the 2025 season in Le Mans, France, full of energy and anticipation. Hector Garzo wants to start defending his World Championship title immediately, while MotoE rookie Lorenzo Baldassarri is hoping for a strong debut in the all-electric championship, which will be held for the third time this year as a world championship.
The Dynavolt Intact GP Team is relying on clenched experience with its rider pairing in 2025 and wants to continue its success story in MotoE, because as the reigning MotoE World Champion, Hector Garzo is undoubtedly one of the top favourites - not only for the two opening races in France, but also in the title fight. After his crash and a thumb injury at the official test in Barcelona, the 26-year-old Spaniard feels fit again and wants to show a strong pace in practice and qualifying on Friday - despite limited testing time on the V21L machine that Ducati has revised for 2025.
Lorenzo Baldassarri is also eagerly awaiting his first MotoE weekend. The five-time Moto2 winner and 2022 Supersport World Championship runner-up showed a promising rhythm at the test and wants to confirm this in the three additional test sessions on Thursday. The Italian's aim is to establish a solid starting position on Friday for the two eight-lap sprints on Saturday at 12:15 and 16:10 (CEST). In the long term, "Balda", as he is known to his fans, wants to assert himself in the 18-strong field of riders in the 14 races of the season on seven exciting European race tracks.
