LIQUI MOLY Dynavolt Intact GP excited for the championship's opening round in Thailand

With this weekend’s Grand Prix of Thailand, LIQUI MOLY Dynavolt Intact GP’s Moto2™ and Moto3™ teams will kick off their 2026 World Championship campaign.

This year's race calendar once again comprises an impressive number of 22 races, and as was the case last year, Buriram's Chang International Circuit will host the first race weekend. The city, with a population of just under 30,000, is located around 400 kilometres northeast of Bangkok.

There are no changes in terms of rider line-up in Moto2™ class of the German racing team from Memmingen in the Allgäu region: Spaniard Manuel Gonzalez and Australian Senna Agius will be fighting for success again this year. 23-year-old Gonzalez from Madrid returns to the Chang International Circuit, where he laid the foundation for his successful season last year with pole position and a commanding race victory, which ultimately earned him the runner-up title.

While Gonzalez will be competing in his second season with LIQUI MOLY Dynavolt Intact GP in 2026, 20-year-old Agius from Liverpool in the Australian state of New South Wales is already entering his fourth season with the German outfit. After winning the Moto2™ European Championship title together back in 2023, he was promoted to a World Championship rider the following year. Agius finished 10th overall last year with two Grand Prix victories under his belt. After the team's most successful season to date since entering the FIM Moto2™ World Championship in 2013, expectations are high for 2026.

In Moto3™, David Muñoz will have a new team mate in David Almansa, both of whom are from Spain. Muñoz celebrated three victories in his debut year with LIQUI MOLY Dynavolt Intact GP. A race crash with fatal consequences in Indonesia at the beginning of October prevented the 19-year-old from Seville from finishing the season higher than fifth overall. Muñoz is still feeling the after-effects of the accident, but the ambitious rider from Andalusia will nevertheless give his all to return to the podium as soon as possible.

David Almansa from Puertollano in the province of Ciudad Real made his debut in Moto3™ World Championship in 2022. Last season was the best of his career so far, finishing eleventh in the overall standings. Until team mate Muñoz isn’t 100 percent fit again, all hopes rest on newcomer Almansa.
