MotoE at Lake Balaton – Dynavolt Intact GP aims to build on Austrian successes
After a strong weekend at the Red Bull Ring in Austria, the leading team in the MotoE World Championship, Dynavolt Intact GP, is travelling to the brand new Balaton Park Circuit without a break but with great confidence. There, top riders Hector Garzo and Lorenzo Baldassarri want to achieve further top results on what is new terrain for everyone.
The fourth race weekend of the MotoE World Championship will take place at the Balaton Park Circuit – a completely new track on the calendar with a length of 4.08 km and 17 corners (10 left, 7 right), which offers a real challenge for teams and riders alike. The track meets the highest safety standards and impresses with its fantastic location on the shores of Central Europe's largest lake, Lake Balaton. With fast sections and demanding corners, it offers the perfect environment for exciting racing in the all-electric series.
Just a few days ago, Hector Garzo put in an outstanding performance in Austria with a fantastic double podium finish that secured him valuable points in his title defence. In the second race at the demanding Red Bull Ring, the Spaniard finished third after already becoming second in the first race. Garzo thus impressively demonstrated that, after a difficult start to the season, he has regained his confidence and his usual fast pace. These qualities will also help him to adapt quickly to the unfamiliar Balaton Park Circuit, especially as Friday's practice session at 12:35 p.m. (CEST) will already decide who makes it through to Q2 later on.
Lorenzo Baldassarri also showed good form with two solid top-five finishes in Spielberg. The 28-year-old Italian's consistent performance is particularly impressive, enabling him to move up to third place in the overall standings. On the stop-and-go circuit in Hungary, the MotoE rookie wants to once again get his Ducati V21L up to speed quickly.
Together, the two Intact GP riders want to continue their successful season and achieve strong results again on the Hungarian debut. As usual, the two races will take place on Saturday at 12:10 p.m. (CEST) and 4:10 p.m. and will each consist of 8 laps.
