With tailwind to the European opener in Jerez

After four overseas races at the start of the season, the MotoGP Motorcycle World Championship now heads to Europe, where the LIQUI MOLY Dynavolt Intact GP Team will be looking for its next points successes this weekend at the traditional Circuit de Jerez - Angel Nieto.

After David Munoz narrowly missed out on victory last year in a thrilling finish against the then Intact GP rider Collin Veijer by just 0.045s, the 18-year-old Spaniard is now eagerly awaiting his home Grand Prix again and is looking forward to the support of thousands of fans at the 19-lap race on Sunday at 11:00 am (CEST).
Moto3 rookie Guido Pini has recently celebrated an impressive debut in the Moto3 World Championship with two points-scoring results on circuits that were previously unknown to him. Now the 17-year-old Italian wants to score points at the European opener in Jerez on the 4.42-kilometre circuit. However, the track in the south of Spain is not new territory for Pini: he celebrated a victory here in the JuniorGP in 2023 and previously gained valuable experience in the Red Bull Rookies Cup. With the tailwind from his recent successes and the support of his experienced team, Pini is optimistic about the upcoming weekend.

In the Moto2 class, the weekend also promises pure excitement: local hero Manuel Gonzalez has his sights set on the podium and wants to quickly adapt to the demands of the Circuito de Jerez in order to lay the foundations for a successful fifth Grand Prix of the year with a strong qualifying. In second place in the world championship, just ten points behind Aron Canet, the 22-year-old has his sights set on the top and wants to at least better his third place from last year in front of his home crowd.
After a challenging and turbulent Qatar GP, in which he scored points despite a jump start and long lap penalties, Senna Agius has set himself the goal of continuing to work on his rhythm and race pace. The 19-year-old Australian wants to confirm his strong form in the 21-lap thriller on Sunday (start 12:15 CEST) and fight his way up the championship standings with more points.
