Motivated for the final phase: Intact GP Team chasing points and podiums in Portugal
The LIQUI MOLY Dynavolt Intact GP Team is highly motivated as it travels to the penultimate race of the season in Portugal with its four riders, where the spectacular Autódromo Internacional do Algarve will provide pure excitement in both Moto3 and Manuel Gonzalez's title fight in Moto2.
With a length of 4.59 kilometres, striking elevation changes and extreme curve radii, the portugese course is considered a real rollercoaster ride. The characteristic rollercoaster layout challenges both riders and machines alike and guarantees spectacular overtaking manoeuvres.
In Moto3, Irish talent Casey O'Gorman will contest the two final races as a replacement for David Muñoz, who is still injured. Alongside Guido Pini, the 18-year-old, who finished fifth overall in the Junior GP World Championship last weekend, will try to do his best!
Guido Pini recently impressed on his first overseas tour with consistent top 15 finishes and even celebrated his first World Championship podium in Indonesia. The 17-year-old Italian has thus established himself as a force to be reckoned with and is looking to attack again in Portugal. The technically demanding track suits his precise riding style – ideal terrain for further increasing his speed and starting the final with a strong finish.
In Moto2, Manuel Gonzalez and Senna Agius have recently stepped into the spotlight. After his celebrated home victory in Australia, Agius suffered a setback in Malaysia, but he is looking ahead to Portugal with fighting spirit and is once again aiming for the top positions.
Manuel Gonzalez recently lost the World Championship lead to Diogo Moreira. But the Spaniard remains determined: he has repeatedly underlined his enormous potential with strong performances – the battle for the World Championship title is still wide open for him. After an intense few weeks overseas, Gonzalez is now looking forward to returning to Europe and wants to keep his dream of the World Championship title alive with a strong weekend in Portugal.
