Home race atmosphere: Intact GP team eagerly awaits the Sachsenring

With the eleventh race of the season, the MotoGP World Championship reaches its halfway point at the Sachsenring - a very special moment for the LIQUI MOLY Dynavolt Intact GP Team. The home race in Saxony is set to be a real highlight for the German racing team: David Muñoz and Guido Pini are highly motivated to deliver excitement at the Grand Prix on home soil. Manuel Gonzalez and Senna Agius are also aiming for another top finish on the traditionial circuit.

Where tradition meets passion is home to the unique Sachsenring. The circuit in the heart of Saxony is only 3.67 kilometres long, is ridden in an anti-clockwise direction and is not a permanent race track - which makes it special in many respects compared to other circuits. In terms of fan culture and tradition, it is in no way inferior to the most famous racetracks. Year after year, hundreds of thousands of passionate fans make the pilgrimage to the tranquil city of Hohenstein-Ernstthal to see their two-wheeled heroes live in action.

Moto3 rookie Guido Pini is looking forward to the support of the team's home crowd and wants to make up for his technical failure at the start in Assen a fortnight ago with a solid points finish. On Sunday, Pini wants to fight for the top 10 in the 23-lap race. Team-mate David Muñoz narrowly missed out on his second win of the season in Assen after the race was cancelled and wants to pick up where he left off when the lights go out at the Sachsenring on Sunday at 11:00 (CEST).

The Moto3 race will be followed by the eleventh round of the Moto2 catergory on 13th of July at 12:15 pm. Manuel Gonzalez arrives at the Sachsenring with a five-point lead at the top of the standings. The Spaniard has been keeping the flag for the German racing team up with flying colours since the start of the season and is also aiming for a top result at his team's home Grand Prix. Last year, Gonzalez finished twelfth, just behind this years team-mate, Senna Agius, who grabbed eleventh place in Germany in 2024. After his ninth place in Assen in the Netherlands, the young Australian, who recently celebrated his 20th birthday, wants to achieve a top result in front of the German fans.
