Front row for Garzo at Silverstone

The DYNAVOLT INTACT GP MotoE team opened the second half of the season with flying colors at the British Grand Prix this Friday after a five-week summer break. Hector Garzo will start Saturday's double race from row 1, while Randy Krummenacher will try to fight for the podium from position six on row 2.

A successful start raises hopes for two successful races tomorrow, Saturday, as Hector Garzosecured a crucial place on the front row of the grid with a strong third place in Q2, having already held the lead in P1 in the two practice sessions on Friday morning and also shone with third place in P2. According to the 25-year-old's own assessment, the Silverstone Circuit is comparatively suboptimal for the all-electric series due to its sheer length of 5.9 km, as the sessions, as well as the two races on Saturday, will be very short with only six laps, therefore the term "sprint race" takes on a whole new meaning in England. This was already evident in Q2, where yellow flags and even a red flag meant that only two scored laps could be completed.

Right behind the third-placed rider on the grid will be his team-mate, Randy Krummenacher. The Swiss had a similarly good start to the fourth MotoE race weekend of the season after the 33-year-old marked second place in P1 and fifth in P2. In Qualifying 2, which was affected by crashes and interruptions, it was then enough for row 2 on the grid and grid position six, from which a lot will still be possible for "Krummi" in the Super-Sprint thanks to the numerous and close slipstream games.

A decisive factor could be potential rain, as light showers are to be expected both in Race 1, which starts at 12:15 (13:15 CET) and in Race 2 at 16:10 (17:10 CEST).
