Silverstone Calling: The points hunt is underway at the British classic!
Manuel Gonzalez, Senna Agius, David Muñoz and Guido Pini from the LIQUI MOLY Dynavolt Intact GP Team are heading into the next important points battle at the seventh round of the 2025 season at the British Silverstone Circuit next weekend. Four riders, two categories, one goal: top results on legendary tarmac!
The 5.9 km Silverstone circuit is one of the fastest and most demanding tracks on the calendar. With 18 corners, some of them very fast, the course demands maximum precision from riders and technology. The weather forecast for the race weekend from 23rd to 25th of May 2025 promises typical British conditions.
Guido Pini is aiming to make it into the top 10 again after a strong, albeit scoreless, French GP. The Italian rookie showed an impressive pace with seventh place in Jerez and three points finishes in just six races and is currently 13th in the overall standings. The 17-year-old aims to continue to attract attention at Silverstone. Team-mate David Muñoz, who recently celebrated his first podium of the season at Le Mans, will be keen to make amends for missing out on points at the start of the season in the 15-lap race on Sunday (start: 14:30 local time). The Spaniard wants to build on his second place at the British GP from the previous season and close the gap in the championship.
The Moto2 riders of the German racing team are travelling to Great Britain with a lot of tailwind: Manuel Gonzalez leads the championship standings with 111 points after two impressive victories in a row in Jerez and Le Mans and has impressively underpinned his title ambitions. The Spaniard recently impressed with his strong nerves and racing intelligence. Team-mate Senna Agius shone with a podium in Jerez and a strong fightback at Le Mans. The young Australian is currently eighth in the overall standings and has his sights firmly set on the next top position in the opening race on Sunday at 11:15 am Silverstone time.
With four highly motivated riders and one of the most iconic circuits on the calendar, the Silverstone weekend promises plenty of excitement and podium chances for the LIQUI MOLY Dynavolt Intact GP Team - whether in sunshine or typical British rain. Due to the schedule change, the Moto3 will conclude Sunday's action this time with its race starting at 14:30, while Moto2 kicks off at 11:15.
