Barcelona becomes an exciting challenge for Garzo & Krummenacher

The Circuit de Catalunya just outside Barcelona is one of Hector Garzo and Randy Krummenacher's favourite tracks. The DYNAVOLT INTACT GP MotoE duo will start Saturday's two races from grid positions seven and eleven.

The conditions at the 4.66km track, which hosts the MotoE world championship for the very first race weekend, were sunny, warm yet challenging.
Local hero Hector Garzo fought his way straight into Q2, where he set a 1'49.236 to take seventh place on the grid for the two races of the penultimate round of this year's MotoE season. The Spaniard hopes that the analysis of Friday's data will reveal what changes his crew can make to prepare the 25-year-old's Ducati in the best possible way for the two seven-lap sprints.

The team around Swiss rider Randy Krummenacher, who also had a difficult start to the Barcelona GP, has similar ambitions. The 33-year-old veteran only just failed in his attempt to make it out of Q1 after his personal best times were not counted due to yellow flags, just like in the practice sessions before. Krummenacher, starting from eleventh on the grid, will certainly face two challenging races, but he says he is confident and trusts his pace to make up ground right from the start and push in the final laps.

With Race 1 at 12:15 and Sprint 2 at 16:10 (CEST), the race Saturday promises to be more than exciting and groundbreaking for the final World Championship decision in just one week.
