Home race & comeback: Intact GP ready for Barcelona
The LIQUI MOLY Dynavolt Intact GP Team is set to attack with full force at the legendary Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in the 15th race of the 2025 season. With victories, podium finishes and the World Championship lead under their belts, the Moto3 and Moto2 riders of the German racing team are highly motivated as they travel to the traditional Catalan race track.
World championship leader Manuel Gonzalez travels to his home Grand Prix as the front-runner in the Moto2 standings. After finishing third in Hungary, the 23-year-old is aiming for another podium finish on the 4.657-kilometre track just outside Barcelona, but even more so for his fifth victory of the season! Teammate Senna Agius is close to making his comeback after his serious crash in Austria and missing the Hungarian Grand Prix. As soon as he gets the medical clearance, the 20-year-old wants to get back into the thick of the racing action.
David Muñoz, meanwhile, travels to Barcelona fresh from his third-place finish in Hungary. The 19-year-old local hero has secured five podium places in a row and is just nine points behind the top three in the Moto3 World Championship. The Spaniard wants to use the momentum in front of his home crowd to make up further ground in the title fight. His teammate Guido Pini is particularly motivated going into the race after retiring at the Balaton Park Circuit. The young Italian already knows the track from his junior days and now wants to impress at World Championship level in Barcelona.
The Barcelona weekend marks the 15th of a total of 22 Grands Prix this season. Intact GP has clearly established itself among the title contenders with victories and podium finishes in both classes. In Catalonia, the team wants to further extend its impressive record – with a full line-up, pure attacking spirit and the support of the Spanish fans behind them.
