Garzo delivers brilliant double podium in Misano season finale

For the DYNAVOLT Intact GP MotoE team, the first-ever MotoE World Championship season ended with Hector Garzo in fourth place of the World Classification today, thanks to two second places and being just one point short of the overall third, while Randy Krummenacher completed the top five in the rankings after finishing eighth and eleventh in the final battles.

Two races that could not have been more identical. Hector Garzo reeled off the very big program at the Misano Grand Prix, once again showing himself to be in top form. Right from the start, the Spaniard was involved in the heated battle for victory. In the first race, he had to admit defeat by an incredible 0.021s to the new MotoE World Champion Mattia Casadei, while in Race 2 Nicolas Spinelli had his nose just ahead (+0.196). With the photo finish of the year and fourth place in the World Championship in his pocket, the 25-year-old farewells this successful season with six podiums, one of which was a win at the team's home Grand Prix at Sachsenring adorns his 2023 record of success.

His eight-year older teammate Randy Krummenacher also ends his MotoE rookie season with numerous positive memories, including four podiums. His victory in Silverstone occupies a very special position and even though it was only enough for an eighth and eleventh place in the finale, the Swiss was assured of a Top 5 place in the World Championship standings.

Thanks to the total of 382 World Championship points collected, the German racing team finally took the vice world championship title in the team classification, 28 points behind.

"We arrived here in Misano with the championship being pretty much undecided and open. In the beginning, I was really focused to not ask for too much from the bike. I wanted to focus on myself in order to ride in a good way, to focus on my line as well as braking and acceleration points, etc. We worked really hard from the very beginning and I think the little test with Michelin was not too bad but we have a different type of feeling since this Thursday. But I think we did a good job because our setting was working well, thanks to Patrick. This weekend I felt super strong. I like Misano but I knew the Italians would be fast here too. Getting into the first row was a great achievement that has helped me a lot in today's races in which I tried to stay in the winning group. I would like to thank everyone: the fans, the team, and all our sponsors. I tried to finish the season in the best way possible."
