Season finale in Valencia: One last dance, one last battle

The 2023 MotoGP season ends this weekend in Valencia, Spain, just as it began in Portugal in March: with maximum excitement and much anticipation.
Ayumu Sasaki continues to fight for the runner-up title, while Collin Veijer is once again looking to make a significant contribution to the potential team world championship. In Moto2, the hunt for points is also entering its final round for Darryn Binder and Lukas Tulovic, both of whom have high hopes.

The 2023 season comes to an end this week with the 20th Grand Prix. It held many surprises in store for the entire LIQUI MOLY Husqvarna Intact GP team. Joy and sorrow were often close together. Tears of joy and disappointment paired with hard work, sweat and the irrepressible will to be the best in the world now find their crowning finale on the 4.01 km long track at the gates of the illustrious southern Spanish city of Valencia.

For Ayumu Sasaki, this dream was within reach until a few days ago. However, the Grand Prix of Qatar brought the premature decision in the Moto3 World Championship. Although the Japanese rider, who has always fought valiantly and fairly for every point in 19 races to date, had to admit defeat in the World Championship battle, his task this season is not yet complete. The 23-year-old is now chasing the runner-up title and, together with his rookie colleague Collin Veijer, would also like to crown his extremely successful year with the team world championship. The title is as good as certain for the German racing team, but nothing is as predictable in racing as the unpredictable.

Darryn Binder and Lukas Tulovic, who make up the German team's Moto2 pairing, can look back on a season that demanded everything from them. Bad luck and injuries lined both of their paths, and yet both the South African and the German always proved how much fighting spirit they showed week after week. No less ambitious and hopeful, the two are now heading into the eagerly awaited season finale, where they will be hunting for points one last time in 2023 to give themselves and their crews a happy finale.

For Ayumu Sasaki and Lukas Tulovic, it will be the last dance in the LIQUI MOLY Husqvarna Intact GP Team, but together with Collin Veijer and Darryn Binder, it will be a final battle for points, championship positions and the Moto3 Team World Championship. .
