Intact GP Juniors give a warm welcome to Leo Rammerstorfer

A particularly tricky task awaits the participants in JuniorGP™ series with Moto3™ Junior World Championship, Moto2™ European Championship and European Talent Cup this weekend at Portimao’s «Rollercoaster», which has to be mastered in midsummer conditions to boot. New to the German junior team is 17-year-old Leo Rammerstorfer from Upper Austria in ETC category.

Arguably the most selective circuit on the calendar in southern Portugal is the fifth stop for the young racers from the German LIQUI MOLY Intact GP Junior Team. Lukas Tulovic extended his overall lead in Moto2™ European Championship a little further with a strong race in second place on second last Sunday in Jerez. However, the 21-year-old from Eberbach had to put away two serious crashes beforehand during practice sessions.

In JuniorGP™ Moto3 class, Phillip Tonn and Jakob Rosenthaler come to the challenging circuit in the outback of the Algarve coastline with a pleasing uphill trend. Jakob Rosenthaler from Linz in Upper Austria finished in the points twice in the Red Bull MotoGP™ Rookies Cup races in Portimao earlier this year whilst his team mate Phillip Tonn from Mattstedt is also familiar with the circuit aboard a Moto3 bike as used in the Rookies Cup.

After the event in Portugal, the series will take its summer break. On race day, as usual, there will be a live stream via the series' YouTube channel.
