Muñoz & Pini attack from the third and fourth rows of the grid at the Silverstone GP
David Muñoz from the LIQUI MOLY Dynavolt Intact GP team secured himself the eighth place on the grid for the Grand Prix at Silverstone and thus a place on the third row. Directly behind him, his rookie team-mate Guido Pini will start from eleventh position and tackle the challenges of the traditional British circuit from the fourth row of the grid.
Strong winds, sporadic rain showers and the 5.9-kilometre track with its fast, long corners characterise the seventh race weekend of the 2025 season and present riders and teams with special challenges.
Spanish Moto3 rider David Muñoz and his crew worked intensively on the set-up of his KTM in FP1 on Friday. With fifth place in the first free practice session, seventh place in qualifying and fifth place again in the still damp FP2 on Saturday morning, the 18-year-old was consistently at the front of the field and confidently secured his place in Q2. In the 15-minute qualifying session, Muñoz once again mobilised all his strength and qualified eighth. In the 15-lap race on Sunday at 14:30 local time, the KTM rider intends to attack the leading group from the third row of the grid.
His Italian team-mate Guido Pini will start directly behind Muñoz. The Moto3 rookie impressed all weekend with consistent top-12 times and also proved his fighting spirit in Q2 by pushing for every millisecond. The demanding Silverstone Circuit is considered a difficult track even for experienced riders, which makes Pini's performance in securing eleventh place on the grid all the more remarkable. The 17-year-old is looking forward to the race with confidence and is convinced that he will be able to fight for a place in the top 10 again with his strong race pace.
