Baldassarri celebrates MotoE World Championship debut with P6 and P5 at Le Mans

Lorenzo Baldassarri, newcomer to the Dynavolt Intact GP team, made an impressive debut at the 2025 MotoE season opener in Le Mans. The Italian collected a total of 21 championship points in the two races: He crossed the finish line in sixth place in the first race and improved to fifth in the second race.

Lorenzo Baldassarri had to compete as a lone rider, as team-mate Hector Garzo unfortunately had to pull out after his crash on Friday morning with an injury to his right elbow. The first race, originally scheduled for eight laps, was cancelled on the second lap after a serious accident between Eric Granado and Raffaele Fusco. After a brief interruption, the race was restarted as a four-lap sprint race. In this highly intense sprint, the 28-year-old showed strong nerves, quickly found his rhythm and fought his way up to fifth place. In the end, he secured his first ten championship points of the season with sixth place.

Baldassarri then got off to another good start in the second race and was immediately fifth. A violent crash between Oscar Gutierrez and Alessandro Zaccone caused a stir, but did not lead to the race being stopped again. Baldassarri also had to take evasive action and lost valuable time and positions as a result. The 2022 Supersport runner-up fought his way back with full concentration, closed the gap to the chasing group and attacked Nicholas Spinelli shortly before the end of the race. With this courageous manoeuvre, he secured himself the fifth place and eleven more championship points.

The Dynavolt Intact GP Team hopes to be back at full strength for the next round of the MotoE World Championship in Assen from the 27th to 28th of June in order to tackle the defence of the MotoE title with determination.
