Front row start for Gonzalez at the Sachsenring; Agius right behind in P5

At the final race weekend before the summer break, the LIQUI MOLY Dynavolt Intact GP Team is in the spotlight more than ever. At the German Grand Prix, Manuel Gonzalez and Senna Agius aren’t about to let anyone else steal the show, something they’ve already done quite well in qualifying.

The LIQUI MOLY Grand Prix of Germany at the legendary Sachsenring in the Free State of Saxony is one of the highlights of the season year after year, not only for the Memmingen based team, but also for the enthusiastic fans, who have already filled the grandstands to capacity on both days of practices.

It was an almost perfect start to the weekend, with World Championship leader Manuel Gonzalez setting the fastest time in Friday’s Free Practice 1 and Senna Agius finishing just behind him in third place. In Friday afternoon’s Practice session, Agius and Gonzalez qualified directly for Q2 with fourth and fifth-place finishes, respectively.

In Saturday’s decisive qualifying session, the 23-year-old Spaniard Gonzalez secured the second spot on the starting grid for Sunday’s eleventh race of the season at the very last second. His Australian teammate Senna Agius, meanwhile, had some bad luck with yellow flags, which prevented him from fully taking advantage of the extra grip provided by the new tires. However, with fifth place on the second row, he has also secured a good starting position for Sunday.

As usual, Sunday's race will start at 12:15 p.m. CEST. The distance is very long with 25 laps
